I just wanted to offer this up to the community. Its a safe, fun place to chat horses and share experiences. I was looking for an actual horse message board, and i couldnt find anything outside of arabian horse groups.. so i made this =)

Im sorry for the shameless plug! I just hope to get more people there =) I inexperienced riders welcome, as well as experienced! All breeds and riding styles welcome!

Invite your friends, pull up a chair, stay a while! =)

Just wanted to introduce myself to the group since I just joined. I currenlty own a 20 month old Pinto named Tucker and until he is old enough to ride I am leasing a 16hh Paint named Cissy. Tucker is the first horse I've ever owned and although at times I feel overwhelmed, I love it. I was leasing Cissy when he was born at the farm and when it came time for them to sell him I had fallen in love and just couldn't see him go-so-now I have a horse of my own.

I'm thrilled there is this type of community out there and look forward to being a part of it.

Hey. I'm Lee and I just joined, so I thought I'd say hi. I have several horses that aren't really mine... but I pretend they are. Emmie is the BEST HORSE IN THE WORLD!!! She never seems to get tired and her personality is both dominant and fear-based, so she tends to protest if I ask her to do something she doesn't want to do... and freak at totally random things that she's seen a million times. Last week I was doing canter figure-eights and she decided that she didn't want to go back to a trot between each circle, and performed a perfectly beautiful flying-lead change...

I've been riding since I was nine or ten, but lately I've become interested in miniature horses. If anyone can tell me more about them, I'd be really grateful. I don't have the space for a full- sized horse, so I'm thinking it might be fun to get a mini... maybe an older rescue. I think rescue horses always need a good home, but I don't even know if there are any rescue organizations around the Twin Cities (Minnesota). Any help would be great. Thanks.

Well my first horse show of the year was a success, me and Oreo won grand champion in showmanship, against some tough competition, and I also won the hunter and jumper classes, the hunter with Oreo and the Jumper with Shadow! I do all these classes in hand so i get a lot of exercise!!! In the jumoper class, it came doewn to a timed jump off, so i was dead afterwards, and we beat out the seconed place person by .1 of a second!!!!!!!!Yeah and the driving wasnt too bad, we placed third and second in our two classes! It was a great show and the clinic on Sunday was a blast, we worked on ground driving, Liberty nad at the end did a mini marathon course! Which reminds me, does anyone out there do Liberty with their horses or combined driving???? in shows?

He was being a brat for the first few minutes, but then totally mellowed out. Didnt work him hard, just walking and a littel bit of trot to get him back into it. My horses!
Well not much has happened with me lately. I gave my horses their vaccinations yesterday, very exciting. Also very easy because they are both so wonderful that they dont react. Hehe what a lucky one I am. And also the vet was proud of me for giving shots that she gave me a thermometer because mine had busted.( but i have done this before when i borded my one horse out. And I am in 4-H so you learn to do this anyways!) LOL yeah i was quite happy though and it saved my paretns over 100$ because i did it myself. ANd the horse we board got his teeth floated, and had to get quite stoned hehe he could barely stand. He was so cute though. yes and i have to get my horses back on an exercise regiment, they are getting quite lazy. Anybody know a great plan for getting them back in shape?(i have minis and one of them drives so i need to condition him. How to get muscle tone?) Any ideas would be much appreciated, well yes i am done now so adios!

This lady at the ranch was all. What are you going to do with jasmine after you go to college? you taking her? and i said, no, since there were fiscal issues. And she said oh, because im thinking im going to lease her and breed her. I was thinking. wow. and whose permission did you get to do this? i then told me dad, she is MY horse and I say NO! shes retired. shes old. shes done enough. leave her bee.. ~~;

how inconsiderate..
